First Major Injury and Fifth Birthday

Quite an eventful week... Got a call from Bo's school this past Monday (the same day as his school pictures mind you) at about 10AM that Bo had taken on a concrete bench with his face. The result was not pretty but after a couple of steri-strips compliments of one of the plastic surgery fellows, we're back and looking forward to a nice scar to prompt story-time in the future.

Because of some upcoming big plans for our little family, we decided to go small-time this year for Bo's birthday. Just a simple, homemade cake and candles and a few presents that made even the blackest eye have a twinkle...

Awesome Faces

Thanks to my parents, Amy and I were able to escape Jackson for a Valentines Day trip to New Orleans. No better place than that city for interesting characters with faces that stand out of even a Mardi Gras crowd...

But regardless of the interesting faces we saw down there, it was the faces that greeted us when we got home that were the most incredible.
