Holidays

Posted by Picasa

As the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays "of remembrance" are here, it seems I'm most forgetful... or maybe better yet, I'm preoccupied with those things I'm most thankful for (that seems to sound better anyway)...

Regardless, once again I've successfully gone almost an entire month without an update so here goes:
Carlyle continues to amaze us as she becomes less a newborn and more baby before our eyes. She's starting to sleep a little better at night which is especially important right now (more on that later). She's already got her daddy wrapped around her finger with her smile alone.

Bo has been an EXCEPTIONAL big brother so far. He really does seem to have a genuine love for his little sister. He calls Carlyle his "best friend". He had his Thanksgiving Day program about 2 weeks ago, in which he was gangster pilgrim - I say this because by the end of the program, his pilgrim hat was turned completely sideways with a slight tilt, sort of ghetto-style. My dad and I got to go to the program and see not only the entertainment of the children, but also what freaks the mothers of 2, 3, 4, and 5 year olds can be... Bo also had his Christmas program at school yesterday, which I'm told he yawned through in its entirety. Apparently the only song he actually sang was Jingle Bells.

Amy and I are still plugging away up at UMC. This month is a little more difficult than most because I'm keeping fairly normal hours from about 7A-5P while Amy works every night from 7P-7A so once again, there's lots of passing each other in the doorway with an "I love you" and kiss on the cheek. I've realized that "work" really starts when I get home in the afternoon... We're eagerly awaiting the holidays so we can all be together as a family.

Thanks to all of you who post comments.
