Carlyle's Baptism

The Westminster Confession of Faith says this about Baptism: " Baptism is ... to be a sign and seal of the covenant of grace, of ingrafting into Christ, of regeneration, of remission of sins, and of giving up unto God, through Jesus Christ, to walk in newness of life."

Carlyle received the sign and seal of Christ's covenant family on January 20, 2008 surrounded by her earthly family, all of whom pray for the day when she will be a believer in the Saviour whose sign she now bears.

After her baptism service, we had a few family and friends over to celebrate the day.

On the Saturday before Carlyle's baptism, Bo and I finally got a chance to take my kayak out together. We just went to a little public lake, Mayes Lake, near our house. Although he still has the attention span of an almost 4 year old, he paddled like a pro...
We had a blast, but trust me when I say, it's quite an accomplishment to get ANY pictures taken when you're in the middle of a lake in a kayak with a 3 year old. One thing that was exciting was that he repeatedly asked me "where's the fishing poles, daddy?" Yeah, can't wait to add some sharp hooks to this unstable situation...

More later. Enjoy.
